Kashkulistan

Founded and directed first by Shene Mohammed and Mohammed Fatih Mohammed, Kashkulistan now falls under the direction of Sarwar Taha who works alongside regional archives, collectors, and scholars to amplify their ongoing preservation efforts. Running internship programs of up to 30 students per semester, we contribute to the health of the city’s archival ecosystem. Independently, we also collect, catalog, study, and digitize manuscripts, artifacts, and other historical items of significance creating online exhibits on topics such as ephemera from Abu Ghraib.
